Design: Quill is a hand-painted river stone sourced from the waterways of Southern Utah. This piece features a single, detailed feather that stretches vertically across the face of the stone, set against a deep matte black background.
The artist used metallic gold acrylics to create the fine, individual barbs of the feather, which catch and reflect light with every movement. A subtle teal-green spine runs down the center of the quill, adding a touch of cool-toned depth to the warm gold. A small gold accent dot at the base completes the balance.
